The three-story building on a corner lot contains 40 senior living apartments located in a mixed-use area near the central business district in historic downtown Chambersburg. The apartment building design has blended the local traditional historic architectural features with updated architectural elements. Public transportation or walking options are available to the many nearby services including a neighboring park with pavilion, picnic area, and the community biking/walking trail. The residents have access to many on site amenities including the supportive services, nurse’s suite, beauty salon, community room with large kitchen, fitness/physical therapy room, library, activity room, game room, café, Bike equipment/storage, Green roof, pet area and outdoor covered patio. This project is Enterprise Green Communities certified where it exceeds the requirements and is Energy-Star certified. The project was funded by PHFA PennHOMES and LIHTC.
