Within a mixed-use community in Bloomsburg, Mulberry Mill integrates in one building a variety of uses including commercial spaces, affordable senior housing, and the community training uses. This building is the third in this revitalized area and provides 44 units of senior living residential space connected to the many services in downtown Bloomsburg.  At Mulberry Mill there are three floors dedicated for senior living with amenities like a community room, activity room, and puzzle room. Balconies and patios provide each apartment with outdoor living space, which are equipped with individual laundries and spacious storage.  The commercial spaces are condo’d into non-profit offices such as the United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and Community Strategies Group, who share reception, conference room, printing, breakroom and restrooms.  The community facilities provide space for large meetings and presentations in a training room, demonstration kitchen, volunteer hub with maker space, and a planned outdoor conference room. The project was financed with PHFA PennHOMES, LIHTC and RACP.
