The Surrey Hill development modernized 70 existing units while creating 4 accessible units. The units remained occupied during construction. The development was improved both aesthetically and functionally to increase marketability and decrease operating expenses. Improvements included exteriors, interior finishes and fixtures, HVAC systems and thermal envelope upgrades. Community spaces include a multi-purpose room with kitchenette, common laundry, supportive service office, and computer lab. The playground was updated with accessible equipment, accessible route and new fall surface. The units achieved an Energy Star label. Financed by LIHTC.
