The goal of the project was to modernize the appearance, improve energy efficiency and correct water and infiltration issues. Exterior Improvements to 170 dwellings in 45 buildings include new overhangs on the roof, new shingles, siding, windows, doors and masonry repairs to correct water infiltration and structural deterioration issues. UFAS sitework improvements were addressed at the same time, and larger rear porches were created for the tenants. The work was divided into 3 Phases due to fund availability, addressing the most critical buildings first. The property was fully occupied during the work. Funded by Allegheny County Housing Authority’s HUD Capital Fund.
