The Kepler Hotel is in the heart of the historic district of Meadville PA, immediately adjacent to the Old Market House. The remaining portion of the block contained dilapidated storefronts. The original 19th century hotel was preserved and the neighborhood block was filled in with new construction, creating 24 apartments and numerous street-level commercial and retail storefronts. The hotel features a 25 well geothermal installation supplemented by 20 tons of AC being gained by evaporation from a significant fountain, which is the feature of its courtyard. The project was part of a larger revitalization project including townhouses and a parking garage.
