Over 400 beautiful windows at the Historic Cambria County Courthouse were replaced under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission. The window profiles were carefully recreated in aluminum covered wood in order to provide an energy efficient and weather resistant exterior envelope. Courtroom windows that are curved in plan with an arch top required special attention from the manufacturer, Graham Architectural Products from York, and the contractor, Mid-State Construction of Altoona. Security and maintenance concerns were addressed in the design. The installation was coordinated for the building to remain open throughout the process.
