Eight units of transitional shelter are now provided in the renovated former Nursing School of Miner’s Hospital. Supportive services are offered, and communal lounges are located on each floor to encourage socialization. A bakery is planned for the basement with sales proceeds to benefit the center. A Head Start Center is located in the basement. The project is funded by HUD McKinney Act financing.
